Ice Queen Cupcakes – bake magically like in Arendelle!

These Ice Queen Cupcakes bring glitter, magic and lots of joy to the coffee table! With delicate shades of blue and sparkling sprinkles, they're reminiscent of Elsa, Anna & co. – perfect for a Frozen kids' birthday party, a themed party or simply as a sweet highlight.

Thanks to our step-by-step instructions, the cupcakes are easy to make – whether with vanilla or chocolate batter, buttercream or cream cheese topping: there are no limits to your creativity. With blue sprinkles, snowflakes and edible glitter you'll conjure up fairy-tale cupcakes in no time, delighting little (and big!) ice queens. ❄️👑

Tip: Complete the cupcakes with a matching cake topper or combine them with a Frozen cake for the complete party look!

Chocolate-Vanilla Ice Queen Cupcakes

    • 150g butter (soft)

    • 150g sugar

    • 1 pinch salt

    • 160g flour

    • ½ tsp vanilla flavoring / vanilla extract

    • ½ tsp baking powder

    • 30g cocoa

    • ¼ tsp baking soda

    • 2 eggs (room temperature)

    • 130g soft butter

    • 130g powdered sugar

    • 240g cream cheese

    • A bit of vanilla

    • Food coloring - Colour Mill Baby Blue

    Und so geht's:

      1. Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat.

      2. Beat the butter with the sugar, salt and vanilla extract until pale and creamy, 4-5 minutes.

      3. Now gradually add the egg and beat in each for about 30 seconds. 

      4. Mix the dry ingredients together and add them to the butter mixture, stirring briefly. Now distribute the batter into the 12 liners using an ice cream scoop or two spoons.

      5. Bake the muffins in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes. Take them out of the oven and let them cool completely.

      1. Beat the butter and powdered sugar until pale.

      2. Fold in the cream cheese and vanilla, tint as desired.

      3. Fill the frosting into a piping bag and apply.

      4. For the decoration:

      5. Decorate with sprinkles to your heart's content.

      6. Extra highlight: Simply draw white or blue Happy Drips onto parchment paper in the shape of snowflakes (tip: print out a snowflake template beforehand and place it underneath), let harden, and carefully release. The delicate snowflakes look wonderful placed on the frosting – and turn your cupcakes into little works of art.
